Good Condition
This Chanel piece is perfect - showcasing multiple types of gorgeous chiffon silk, and corded ribbons at neckline and hemline in a dark tan color in-between brown and gray. Both lining and outer composition are 100% silk. It`s a classic Chanel design from an important collection which marks the mid-career of Karl Lagerfeld's design career with the house.
The soft layers of silk and chiffon panels on top and skirt are perfectly matched. Three bands serve as an additional closure that can be tied around the neck, they are adorned with beads in pastel colors, and refer discreetly to the brand Chanel.
The dress is in good condition with no signs of wear. The chiffon silk has a tiny hole at the bottom hem, which, however, is barely visible to the eye. The piece has size 38 (French), which corresponds to a German 36. The total length of the dress measures 135 cm (53.15 inch), chest is about 38.5 cm (15.16 inch), silk spaghetti straps are 29 cm (11.42 inch) long each. The dress comes with original hanger and is equal parts classic Chanel and fun, and a magnificent party dress. This extremely elegant dress comes with a shawl in the same silk color as the dress. The stole measures 123 x 246 cm (48.43 x 96.85 inch).
CHANEL
Gabrielle Bonheur Chasnel, also known as Coco Chanel, is one of the most influential fashion designers of the 20th century. Known for her avant-garde and seductive style during the 1920s, her trend setting designs paved the way for what fashion has become today. Coco Chanel became the first great couturière because she adopted a new androgynous style made out of jersey. By the early 20s, Chanel launched her signature cardigan jacket and the following year matched its success with her versatile, semi-formal ‘little black dress’. Both pieces quickly became a Chanel trademark and an enduring fashion standard. To the jacket, she added the luxury Chanel Classic Flapbag 2.55, named after its launch in February 1955. Coco Chanel died on 10 January 1971 at the Hotel Ritz in Paris where she had a residence for more than 30 years. Since 1983, Karl Lagerfeld has been creative director of Chanel's fashion house. His contemporary creations are marked by unconventionality, perfectionism and uniqueness.
