The viewer looks at a nearly deserted courtyard of a Belgian village, with three figures appearing in the background.

Emmanuel Viérin (1869-1954)

Emmanuel Viérin was born in 1869. He studied Fine Arts at the Royal Academy in Antwerp where he already painted landscapesen plein air, followed by study trips to Spain, Algeria and France. His Œuvre comprises mainly landscapes and cityscapes, some in bright colors others in muted earthy tones.
