Hanna Rudzka-Cybisowa (1897-1988)
Hanna Rudzka-Cybisowa, born Rudzda, was born in the Polish town Mlawa in 1897. In 1917 she began her training at the Warsaw School of Arts and studied from 1921 at the Academy of Arts in Krakow under Ignacy Pie?kowski and Józef Pankiewicz. With the latter and 10 other students she founded the artist group called ‘Parisian Committee’ in 1923. Influenced by the French Post-Impressionism, the picturesque style and use of color should stand in the foreground. The group spent some time in Paris.
