This lot comprises two original wooden cases, each with one bottle of 2011 vintage Château Ausone from the Saint-Émilion appellation in Bordeaux.
Saint Émilion is next to Pomerol one of the best-known appellations on the right river bank of the Gironde. Merlot is the predominant grape variety here. As in Graves, Saint Émilion has its own classification for the wines produced there, updated approximately every ten years; the last time being in 2012.
The 2011 vintage Château Ausone was rated over 95 points by Robert Parker in 2014. The wine was rated 18 of 20 points by René Gabriel in 2013.
The fill levels are excellent (high fill). The labels, capsules and original wooden cases are in perfect condition.
