The portfolio in black colors was inspired by Ludwig van Beethoven’s opera of liberation Leonore (later renamed Fidelio) in three acts.

The lithographs are each signed ‘Uecker’ in pencil at the lower right. Centric they are each titled in pencil as well as numbered in pencil at the upper part. Furthermore they are numbered on the reverse. The condition of the works is very good. Only the sheet of ‘Die Freiheit’ shows slight buckling at the edge of the upper part. The sheet encompassing image sizes are each 33 x 23.5 cm.
