For this digital printing, the Swiss artist Daniele Buetti has overworked a photograph by the fashion photographer Tom Munro for the designer Armani. He added bright white dots that flow like a ‘flood of tears’ from the male model’s almost closed eyes and form a kind of halo in the background. The digital print was created in an edition of 100 copies + 20 AP.



The digital print is signed in ballpoint on a reverse label ‘Buetti’ and numbered ‘44/100’. The sheet is in very good condition. The frame is overall in good condition with slight signs of use. The image measures 70 x 54 cm, the sheet 80 x 64 cm. The framed dimensions are 82.5 x 66.5 cm.

Daniele Buetti (geb. 1955)

The dominant subject matter in the work of the artist Daniele Buetti, who was born in the swiss town of Fribourg, is the consumer and information society, which he worked on in installations, performances, videos, sculptures and drawings. In the 1990s he became known for photographs of models and movie stars whos bodies he ‘tattooed’ with brand names by the reverse treatment with ballpoint pen. Since 2004 Buetti is Professor of Photography at the Art Academy in Münster. His works can be found in many international museums such as the Kunsthaus Zurich, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, the Museo Nacional de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid and the ZKM in Karlsruhe.
