American Rococo Revival Carved Mahogany Serpentine Marble Top Dresser, late 19th c., the arched carved mirror over a highly figured serpentine cookie corner white marble, above three bowed drawers flanked by fruit and nut decorated chamfered stiles, to bracket feet joined by a serpentine foliate skirt, matching following lot, H.- 96 in., W.- 48 in., D.- 25 1/2 in.
Condition
As found. The mirror has some professional apparent repairs and there are some losses to the carving, applied molding decoration, and is possibly lacking finials, with some mild damage and loss near the mirror support base. The marble is observed with some yellowish stains and minor expected scratches. The base is noted with mild expected wear, scratches, scuffs and mild apparent repairs. A lovely example.
