FOUR DAN PASSPORT MASKS. One with long open avian beak, wide band of encrusted creamy white pigment across eyes and brow, narrow slit eyes, large triangular nose; overall dark brown patina. 8 1/2 x 3 x 2 1/4 inches. One with circular eyeholes, open mouth with protruding full lips, finely arched brow; dark brown matte patina. 5 1/4 x 3 x 1 1/2 inches. One with narrow slit eyeholes, closed mouth with full protruding lips; pierced once at each side of perimeter; glossy reddish-brown patina. 5 x 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches.One with open parrot-like beak, narrow slit eyeholes, raised vertical crest on forehead; small finishing nail and encrusted material and feathers on crown of head; slightly encrusted black patina. 5 x 3 1/4 x 2 1/2 inches. Ivory Coast. Mid 20th century. All in very good condition, each with some erosion around back edges. Minor scrapes and losses, especailly to edges.
