RARE REVOLVING BOOKCASE - American Federal Period Stand with double rotating round cabinet top, having pierced brass gallery, four curved panel partitions featuring floral urn paintings in the manner of Adams, set on a sturdy ring and urn turned stanchion with four scroll top incurved square legs terminating in brass caps and casters. The two shelf 'barrels' rotate independently of each other. First half of 19th c. 40 1/2" tall, 20" diam cabinet, 17" foot to foot. Good condition, brass roughly polished. Cabinets lift off of post.
