It is chambered for the famous .40-63 Marlin cartridge. Features include a 30" full octagon barrel, rifle buttplate, walnut stocks, ring trigger lever, double set triggers, and long range adjustable tang peep sight. The rifle remains in beautiful near mint all original condition, an extreme rarity for the usually well-used rifles. The barrel retains virtually all of the brilliant Marlin factory blue finish and is topped with their traditional sporting front and rear sights. The frame retains approximately 70% of the original case colors, some quite bright. The walnut stocks are near mint with all of the original finish, none of the usual cracks or chips, with just a couple of usual minor bruises, and some oil darkening.
