Serial # 22729 This rifle was manufactured in 1946 and is chambered for the powerful .348 Winchester centerfire cartridge. It is offered in the deluxe configuration. It features finely checkered pistol grip walnut stock. It is what collectors refer to as the "short tang model". Features as follows: a 24" round barrel, half magazine, sporting rear sight, ramp front sight, blued finish, deluxe walnut stocks, factory sling swivels, Winchester stamped grip cap. This example is equipped with the vintage solid Winchester rubber buttplate, which has been on the rifle since its inception. Barrel retains 95% original factory blue. Frame retains approximately 90% original factory high polish blue, thinning on bottom nd high edges with a couple of light freckles on left side of frame. Stocks are excellent with a couple of usual hunting bruises. Mint bore and action.
