Description
A mid 19th century 18ct gold split pearl and enamel mourning ring, the split pearl cluster to the central single-cut diamond, with black enamel floral surround, to the tapered band reading 'In Memory Of'. Partial hallmarks for 18ct gold. Weight 2.4gms.
Condition
Overall condition fair to good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. The diamond looks to be a replacement. The bottom of the band is worn and slightly misshaped. It has been re-sized, eliminating origin of hallmark. Enamel has moderate to significant wear. The split pearls have typical blemishes and nacre damage. Ring size N.
