Description
A pair of Modernist oak wall lights,
by Jacques Blin,
51cm high
The modernist French designer, Jacques Blin (1920-1955), studied at the Br‚guet Aeronautical School in Paris and began making pottery in the late 1940s, opening a pottery workshop in Paris in 1954. He is primarily known for his slipware and sgraffito ceramics including lamps of this pattern, however, these in carved wood appear to be unique, suggesting they may be the original maquettes.
