AFTER SIR WILLIAM CHARLES ROSS (BRITISH, 1794-1860) MISS CARRINGTON. Oil on canvas. Bearing a plaque beneath with the artist's name, title and date. Unsigned Canvas: 36'' x 24'' Frame: 44.75'' x 31''

Condition

This piece has significant restoration. It has been relined and re-stretched. There is a significant varnish layer that is causing some yellowing. There is significant impasto crushing to the painted surface. There are slight lines from repaired crackle that are visible upon closer inspection. this piece shows well, besides the yellowing.
