Pre-Columbian, Colima, West Mexico, ca. 300 BCE / CE. Â A large and quite handsome redware pottery dog. Â Plump companion for the tomb for both food and company. Â Covered in deep red slip with deeply incised eyes, perky ears and smiling face. Â Stone-polished surface replete with manganese blooms. Â Size: Â 15-1/2"L x 10"H.
