London: Newbery, 1780. Miniature book, 1.75" x 1.25" x .75" thick. 256 pp., two engraved titles and 12 plates (14 called for, though the two missing plates appear to have never been bound in.) In a remarkable 18th century binding of original crimson morocco with green oval onlays to front and rear cover, stamped "JHS," small floral gilt devices to boards and spine, and edges ruled in gilt. All page-ends gilt though rubbed, one corner of front board rubbed, small label bearing former owner's name laid to front pastedown, and early signature to front blank. Very Good.
