Central Asia, 20th Century Cotton fabric decorated with sprays and flowers amidst tulips and carnations that remind one of the 'four flowers' style seen in the Iznik pottery.The Suzani are textiles to be hung and the wealthy families from Central Asia used to cover the walls of their homes with them because the elegance of the embroidered revealed the social and economic statues of the owner. They were woven on small looms by the ladies and young girls to embellish their dowries. lxh 214 x 154 cm
