PRESSED HEXAGONAL PAIR OF CANDLESTICKS, deep canary yellow (uranium), small size, each urn-shape socket with a double-knop lower extension, raised on a hexagonal base with a ringed standard, wafer construction. Probably Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. Circa 1840-1860. 7 1/2" H, 4" DOA base.

Provenance: From an East Coast private collection.

Catalogue Note: Barlow and Kaiser note that this style of hexagonal candlestick is "very rare in this smaller version."

Condition

Outstanding condition, proof except for a pinhead nick to the top of one socket. Best possible examples.
