LEE/ROSE NO. 28 CUP-PLATE BASE WHALE OIL LAMP, colorless, free-blown globular font raised on an applied button-knop stem and pressed base with a rough iron pontil mark. Fitted with an appropriate tin and cork double-tube drop-in burner faintly marked "PATENT" on top. New England. Circa 1828-1835. 6" H to top of opening, 3 1/4" D base.
Literature: Like Elsholz, lot 106.
Provenance: Pennsylvania private collection.

Condition

Proof except for some very minor expected wear to font.
