Description
BRADLEY & HUBBARD NO. 636 FOUR-ARM CAST-IRON CHANDELIER, later black and silver paint, brass shaft and hardware, ceiling mount, each font cup with patent date "PAT JAN 31 1871 AUG 31 1875", central arm support with various patent dates, adjustable shade holders marked "PAT'D DEC 07 1880". Four matching colorless glass fonts with frosted finish and star decoration, three examples with embossed "PAT'D AUG 31 75" to underside of base, brass No. 2 collars and side-refill feature. Each fitted with an opaque white cone-form shade. Fourth quarter 19th century. Frame 43 1/2" HOA, 35" WOA. Shades 4 1/2" H, 9 7/8" to 10 1/4" D fitters.
