Description
THEODOR EICKE (1892 - 1943) Infamous commander of Dachau Eicke encouraged his concentration camp staff to live up to their death's head symbol and treat Dachau's prisoners with ""inflexible harshness"" fittingly killed on the Eastern Front. T.L.S. as ""Commander SS-Totenkopf Division"" 1p. 4to. [n.p.] Oct. 22 1940 to HEINRICH HIMMLER who has also docketed the letter. In part: ""...Enclosed according to your wished is the letter from...Generaloberst Dollmann which he wrote for the anniversary of the founding of the SS-Totenkopf Division..."". Himmler dockets the letter at top confirming receipt and dating it rapidly initialing the letter as well. Gen. Friedrich Dollmann commanded the German 7th Army and was KIA in France.
