Description

EAST PRUSSIA YOUTH MOVEMENT BANNER Teutonic Knights Youth Movement banner 21 1/2"" x 18"" a ca. 1930s a two sided banner bearing an intricately embroidered shield whose elements evoke the Teutonic Knights with the skull and Brandenburg eagle and a youth movement with the fleur-de-lis which appears in full on the reverse of the banner. The banner given to Group 13 bears four round eyes through which a supporting pole was placed. One small hole in the white field else very good. Such organizations were prevalent prior to the creation of the Hitler Youth.
