Description

GERMAN DEEP SEA DIVER'S TELEPHONE APPARATUS Rare set of war-date telephony gear used for contact between a German vessel and a deep sea diver. Included is the diver's set which has a throat microphone headset switch box to allow continuous conversation or reception only and connector cable along with the vessel heavy-duty telephone and connector fitted into a 19"" x 13"" x 7"" wood crate bearing a cable connection outside and two latches to secure the lid. The lid bears a schematic dated January 1943 showing connections between ""Hand apparatus"" and ""Helmet telephone"". Very unusual.
