Description
WORLD WAR I ARTILLERY SPOTTER'S RANGE FINDING DRAWINGS Excellent grouping of nine different original pencil drawings of an artilleryman's views and ranges to various structures accomplished on both sides of individual 13"" x 3 5/8"" beige heavy stock cards. The drawings signed by soldier Joseph Berkowits and dated October and November 1918 variously show farm structures a cathedral factories churches a bridge schools etc. and individual distances to each. Additionally each has tack holes at corners which indicates they may have been used in the field perhaps tacked to a bunker or blockhouse wall. Very good.
