Description
Hand enameled over thick milk-white opaque glass. Characteristic shape. Hookah water pipe base vase. Transfer tinted portraits on both sides of a Pasha, a high rank Ottoman Turkish government or military official (an equivalent to the British Lord title). Blue uniform with a sash and order medals and regalia. The man is wearing a Fes (Fez) cap and holding onto a Yatagan sword. Ottoman Turkish in origin, late 1800's to early 1900's (pre-1923). Measurements: 10.5" high, 5.6" base diameter. 3.25" top diameter, 1.8" inside of the neck
Condition
Very Good overall; Minor loss of gilt and enamels, not affecting the portraits. Superb display!
