Description
Antique Betty Lamp, made of hand hammered wrought iron. Comes with it's original hanger. A very early example of lighting equipment, usually used in workshops. These lamps burned fish oil or fat trimmings and had wicks of twisted cloth. Twisted hanger stem. Double lamp bowl. New England, c. late 1700's/ early 1800's. Measurements: Approx. 15" overall, 4.25" x 2" the bowl
