Description
Thick-walled pewter hexagonal bottle or flagon flask. Signed up front with cursive script in a vase shaped as a heart, with a Cross above it. Most likely a religious implement or a Wedding Flask. Names up front are hard to read. Also marked with a block stamp mark on top of the screw-on stopper - DIETZ. All hand chased characteristic border ornamentation. Ribbon pattern on the stopper loop. German in origin, circa first to second quarter of the 1700's. Measurements: 10.5" high without loop, 5.5" at widest
Condition
Good overall; Minor dings and deformities, common on antique pewter due to the softness of the material. Choice patina. All original. Superb display!
