A gratitude charger, given to a Mr. Beisswenger of Mannheim, Germany for their "Kind Support" from the Schaffhausen Pontoniers, a paramilitary brigade club in charge of building and maintaining bridges, pontoons and dams in the canton of the same name in Northern Switzerland. Inscribed up front in Gothic font, in German - "Wir danken herrn Beisswenger, Mannheim für die freundliche Unterstützung". All hand painted and decorated. Custom made for the occasion. The City coat-of-arms and shield of Switzerland up front, as well as a rendition of a clifftop castle. Inscribed on the back as well with the team name - Pontoniertahrverein Schaffhausen. Also marked with an underglaze mark - ZIEGLEN Schaffhausen Handarbeit (Handcrafted).Measurements: 12.5" diameter
