Small vodka cup decorated with cloisonné enamel polychrome flowers and scrollwork on stippled ground
Provenance: German private collection

The small vodka cup originates from the silversmith and guild master Ivan Kononov who was active in St. Petersburg between 1832 and 1841. The cup of conic shape is crafted of gilt silver. The wall is decorated with cloisonné enamel polychrome flowers and scrollwork on stippled ground. The enamel appears in the colors red, white and green as well as two different shades of blue. The rim is dotted in turquois.



The base is marked with the master’s mark ‘?.K‘ Ivan Kononov and the fineness ‘84‘ with the St. Petersburg city mark. The condition is very good. It is 4.5 cm in height and weighs approximately 38 grams. (tm)
