The inkwell stand was crafted in around 1850 in St. Petersburg. The inkwell stand is placed on four metal-gilt feet, which are decorated with foliage on a punched ground. The curved corpus with feather tray is covered on all sides with malachite. There are two gilt brass insets with covers. An inventory inscription in red can be found underneath.
The inkwell stand is in very good condition, merely the glass insets are missing and it is minimally restored in some parts of the malachite. The dimensions are 40 x 23 cm (length x width). (tm)
