This silver medal originated during the reign of Tsar Alexander II in St. Petersburg’s mint from 1870-1881 and was given as an award for special eagerness and services for the benefit of the government. The obverse is decorated with the profile portrait of Tsar Alexander II looking to the right, framed by an inscription. The reverse is also provided with an inscription, as well as a blank field within a cord loop for engraving.
The medal is in good condition with minor signs of wear. The diameter is 2.9 cm, its weight approx. 15 grams.
