Pre-Columbian, Vera Cruz, Mexico, ca. 550 – 950 CE. Over-life size head of a youthful deity wearing an elaborate headdress decorated with several vertical rows of small feather type elements and large spiral shell elements. Wearing disc ear ornaments and a ball labret.   A very rare and impressive example.  Size:  15-1/2" H x 13" W
