Pre-Columbian, Huari, South Coast Peru, Huari / Wari, ca. 700 CE. Rare & important loom tropical hardwood staffs used to weave textiles on a back strap loom. On either end one can see a classical sitting Huari figure of a bound captive carved in the early Tihuanaku style with portrait like features. Size: 26" L x 1" D.
