Medical Graduate With Diploma 1858 Ambrotype
A bearded gentleman holds a symbolic diploma that clearly reads "Ad Gradum Medicinae Doctoris. Martio 1858." This enlarged diploma was probably used for the portraits of all the graduates on that date. A bust of Hippocrates is at the left, and there is a backdrop showing a bookcase.
This consists of two sandwiched plates, one with the 1/6 plate ambrotype itself, the other with the backing glass. In half case.
