Two Faience Pottery Factory scenes, Paris

Pair of 6 ˝" x 9" glossy gelatin-silver prints in imprinted decorative mounts, by de Jongh Fréres, Paris. This is the great faience factory of the H. Boulenger Company in Choisy-le-Roi. These seem to have been part of a large portfolio dated 1897. The first shows the loading of the great kiln. The other shows the clay preparation and potters making large bowls on the wheels. Both are interesting and undamaged, but there are some tiny spots and light surface mold on the first. [3+]
