Artist's Studio Paris Courtyard Atget albumen

8 3/8" x 6 7/8" albumen print. "Hotel Le Charron – 15 quai bourbon" and number "3871" written in pencil on verso. A signal element is the wide steps leading to the doorway, seen at an angle. A sharp-eyed visitor to our preview noted that there is a sign above the door for the studio of the painter and sculptor Flandrin. This is more evident in the darker print made by Berenice Abbott that is the next lot. Very slight fade at left edge. [3+]
