19 – 8" x 10" glossy photographs dealing with a train trip with King Saud, with stops for gala tribal feasts.
Saud was King from 1953 – 1964; the prints were made at the time of the trip sometime in that period. This was probably on a train line build by Aramco between Dammam (capital of the Eastern Province) and the capital Riyadh. The businessmen could have to do with the railroad, or with oil. Most of the images are exciting images of the tribal celebrations and hospitality, but there are some very relaxed and playful images on the train, including the King using a movie camera. The backs have some residue from having once been mounted; the images are bright and undamaged. [4] Condition report[4]See explanation of codes below
