Vintage Depression USDA Food stamps for the blind

Two 8" x 10" glossy photographs.

a) People in a grocery store redeem food stamps, 1939. They are blind. The blue printed caption on verso indicates this is an experimental program in which blind people receiving aid can receive stamps, and others can use stamps for surplus commodities. U.S.D.A. stamp credits Parker.

b) A man examines shirts; there's a large sign for "Cotton Stamps Accepted Here." Both photographs with pencil numbers on verso, distributed by the Department of Agriculture. [4-]
