Description
New England mahogany, bird's-eye and tiger maple cased wall clock, early 19th c., with reverse painted glass door and dial with Roman numerals. 37"h.x13.5"w.x4.5"d. Weights and pendulum bob are present
Condition
Case surface has been refinished at some point, but retains a nice mellow finish, some cracks, chips, dents, etc. as you might expect to see. Clock face appears to be original & has some small surface scratches as you might expect to see. No notation, marks, inscriptions or signature(s) found to indicate maker. No missing parts noted. Unknown of clock runs or keeps time. Reverse painted panel probably repainted, pulleys and cords replaced as would be common to see. Door lock not original, part of the metal keeper/strap to back is missing. Weights and pendulum bob are present
