Kiddush goblet from the synagogue in Kitov, Ukraine [Kuty]. Hallmarked. 1816.
6.8 cm. high; 5.7 diameter; about 60 grams.
Rounded goblet, with geometric engravings, and the text הכוס שייך לבה"×› – שערי שלמה ק"ק כיטב ×©× ×ª ×”'תקע"ו. Primitive engraving work. Hallmarked at its bottom.
Kitov was the hometown of Rabbi Gershon, brother-in-law of the Baal Shem Tov.
Two small holes, moderate condition.
