History of the community and chevra kadisha of Eger. In honor of the 55th anniversary of its existence. Founded in 1843. Published in honor of the Chevra Kadisha on the 7th of Adar, 1898. Eger.
213, [2] pages. 26 cm. Hungarian and Hebrew. The title page features the emblem of the chevra kadisha – two hands in a handshake, symbolizing mutual aid. Edited by Daniel Reiss. The first 28 pages are in Hungarian with quotes in Hebrew, recounting the history of the community and the bylaws of this society. Lengthy list of community members. Pages 95-188 feature a list of the deceased and the date of death. Most of the names are both in Hebrew and Hungarian. Pages 189-213, bylaws. 41 bylaws in Hebrew and Hungarian translation.
