This bishop’s throne, so called ‘Cathèdre’, is made of oak and crafted in Gothic style. The backrest is carved with a rich decoration of stylized coat of arms and floral medallions. The side posts of the backrest are crowned by semi-sculptural finials in the shape of dolphins. The front of the base is also decorated with a floral relief. The hinged seat can be opened.

The throne is in good condition with signs of age and wear. There are a few cracks. The dimensions are 166 x 71 x 51 cm, the seat height measures 48.5 cm. (tfa)
