Music box made in Germany. Plays music from Oklahoma. The top contains the music mechanism in silver, marked West Germany. The surface of the top is an embossed cartouche border around a rope framed medallion containing a diamond flower pattern. It has a pewter winding knob and brass on/off switch. Made for the American market. The music is "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" from the broadway musical, Oklahoma. The box is a cradle-legged ceramic semi-circle with a recessed silver top. It is hand painted on all sides with exotic birds on flowering branches and pine. Contains an underglaze reading: Rosenthal (trademark) Selb-Plossberg, Bavaria, Germany.
