Description:
Constructed of mahogany with oak secondary wood. Fine grained mahogany veneers on visible surfaces. Drawers have dado joint fronts with dovetailed rears, serpentine fronts, cant back to meet the door sections. Carved feet of acanthus leaves and garland. Central apron with carved portrait of a royal surrounded by acorns and oak leaves, this carving repeated throughout as well as cast into the original brass hardware. Doors are flat panels with carved moldings. Flanking quarter columns are fluted and carved with cast brass mounts. The interior has a fixed shelf supporting two drawers. The lower shelf is a later addition. Its crest has carving with the addition of reticulation to the oak branches. The piece comes apart for easy transportation.

All original and excellent, bottom inside shelf of top section is added later. Minor losses to veneer and one piece of molding at the base, easily replaced.
