Description
(5 x 2 x 1.25") This handle carries the identification numbers "SEB33100293-302A S/N 1017" on the side of the handle. At the top end is a thumbscrew which was used to attach the handle to the Hasselblad camera. There is a brown pull tag at the botton of the handle which allows the inner portion of the handle to be pulled out. The interior slide section is HEAVILY coated with dust (most likely lunar mmaterial), which puts a bit of friction on the sliding action. Otherwise this unit is in almost as-new condition. According to a noted space hardware authority, the part number for this handle is documented on a list of items in the LM lower right cabin stowage assembly (a total of 3 of these handles were stowed on the Apollo 15 LM).This item has remained in David Scott's personal collection since the Apollo 15 flight and comes with a COA signed by him. Extremely rare lunar surface artifact.Flown in Space? YES
