Late 19th century, with Diana standard mark for .800 fineness to body and base, further marked with small ''AV'' import mark within a clipped-corner rectangle and ''BF'' within an oval for maker Bruder Frank, the cherubs each marked with dog's head small article .800 standard mark, the pierced-rim shell-form bowl flanked by winged cherubs clutching plaques each monogrammed ''MR'', over a rocaille and foliage-wrapped stem raised on a pierced rocaille-topped notched oval base, 15.75'' H x 15.5'' W x 10.5'' D, 136.875 oz troy approximately, est: $12,000/18,000

Condition
Overall good condition. General light marks, rubbing, and tarnishing commensurate with age. A .25'' crack and apparent repair to silver near upper terminal of shell and a shallow .5'' x .25'' dent to rear of bowl. An approximately .75''-long loss to one end of garland; a leaf has been bent over to mask loss. Polish residue throughout. Monogrammed, as stated.
