Tales of the South Seas, Original By Zane Grey

Sign In to see what this sold for

A 179 page hand written account of one of Grey's fishing trips. Tells the details of his adventure as only Grey could describe it. Some of the pages have slight wear and fading. Cover measures 10"x 8 1/4". This work was later published in Physical Culture magazine in 1931. This lot is part of a substantial collection of items personally owned by Zane Grey. This entire grouping was consigned by the family of the late Norine Fife, the personal secretary to Romer Grey, Zane's son. She worked in Zane Grey's, and later Romer's, home in Altadena, California until Romer's death in 1976. Upon his death, the family gifted the contents of Zane's/Romer's office to Fife. These lots provide a glimpse into Zane Grey's private and very public life, from unfinished manuscripts to personal letters to decorative items. All lots come with a signed provenance letter.
