Description
Jerome Secor Bridgeport, Connecticut - Circa 1872 Jerome Secor opened shop just after the Civil War as a sewing machine maker. His talent for making clockwork mechanisms led him to designing a small series of toys. He made a minstrel series that included the Bones Player, Sister Lucinda, a Tambourine Player and a Banjo Player. These toys sold for about $8.00 each, a vast sum of money in the day. Consequently, these toys are very rare and highly sought after. This example works very well. Material: Cast Iron, Fabric and Wood
