Roseville trial piece, a female nude figure in a rose colored mat glaze created by Frank Barks. Barks was a designer at Roseville responsible for many of the nudes in the Silhouette line and this piece, presumably a possible inclusion in that line or just an after hours whimsey, was purchased from Barks’ son. Unmarked save for the following notation in pencil on the bottom of the piece: “Made by my Father Frank H. Barks at Roseville Pottery William R. Barks.” Height 12 inches. Her right arm and the top of her head have restoration.
