A typical Shirvan rug with geometric pattern and animal figures
The Shirvan rugs are among the most common Caucasian carpets and are characterized by a geometric pattern, bright colors and an exceptionally fine knotting, which makes the representation of animals and human figures possible. The wool of the chain and thus the fringes is mostly brown. The Shrivan border with the hook motif is characteristic as well.
The rug is in good condition, showing light wear due to age. The dimensions are 170 x 113 cm. (cko)
